Mentorship is often viewed as a career tool, but in 2026, we view it as a Neurological Intervention. When a woman in Maryland mentors another, both individuals experience a surge in Oxytocin and a reduction in Cortisol.
Mentoring provides the "Second Brain" support we discussed in our Gut-Brain post—it creates a sense of safety that allows the nervous system to move from "Survival" (fight or flight) to "Growth" (creativity and connection).

In honor of IWD, Favor Mental Health is hosting a series of "Give to Gain" Workshops throughout March at our Bel Air center. These workshops are designed to connect mentors and mentees while providing the psychological tools to sustain both parties.
